New hub will improve service for southern farmers

3rd March 2017

Frontier recently celebrated the opening of new and upgraded premises at Red Shute Hill, Hermitage in Berkshire. The company has invested more than £500,000 in upgrading the site. Improvements in the new facility, including a new laboratory and upgraded crop protection store, will help Frontier to provide a more efficient service to arable farmers in the south.

Charlie Whitmarsh, crop production director for Frontier, said: "The new site has been built with a clear focus on service and the future needs of our customers. Hermitage is now the southern hub for Frontier's commercial, trials, agronomy and operational teams. The upgraded crop protection store's capacity is such that it will support our local agronomy customers better and aid more timely supply of products to our other smaller southern stores. Having this strategic hub helps us deliver faster, more efficiently and with more flexibility. All of this will make us more able to meet the needs of our customers."

The official opening was marked with a ribbon cutting ceremony performed by site landlords, Chris Marriage and Hugh Marriage, and Frontier's crop production director, Charlie Whitmarsh.
