Split across five business areas, the placement will give the successful student the chance to develop their commercial knowledge while working in the farm trading, forwarding and grain administration and operations teams, as well as joining Kings, a leading specialist crops provider and division of Frontier.

Following this rotation, some of our previous placement students have gone on to take roles in our commercial, agronomy and trading teams, after completing their degree.

Our marketing and communications placement offers the successful student the opportunity to become a member of our growing full-service, in-house marketing and communications team, supporting with the planning and implementation of a variety of projects that range from corporate communications and PR to website management and event support. In addition to working with key internal stakeholders, the successful student will liaise with external agencies and suppliers to successfully manage the creation of marketing content.

To be based at Witham St. Hughs (between Newark and Lincoln) at least three days a wek, with the rest of the week home-based. The role is working in a small in-house team and will be cheifly split 50/50 between communications and customer marketing activity.

This rotation would be suited to a proactive student with an appetite to learn and gain a wide variety of experience during their placement year. Travel to some events and sites will be part of this role, therefore a full driving licence is a must.

Kathryn's story

Kathryn, one of our recent work placement students, described her time with Frontier as "a great opportunity to explore multiple sections of the business in just one year - an experience that not many other companies offer." During her time at Frontier, she had the opportunity to work with different teams throughout the business which greatly increased her confidence.

Watch the below video to hear Kathryn talk about what a normal working day is like on a work placement at Frontier, as well as her experience of our recruitment process.
