Combinable Crops Conferences – Trials results guide crop production decisions

Frontier has announced a series of four Combinable Crop Conference Events to take place in January 2013.

At these events Frontier will present the findings of their national trials programme last season. This research was conducted through a programme consisting of approximately 10,000 replicated plots over three sites. Varieties, seed dressings, fertilisers, trace elements and crop protection products have all been evaluated under a strict regime of agreed protocols.

Dual approach to Conferences
In addition to trials results, experts from the Frontier's trading team will give a corresponding market overview. This will include opinion on world oilseed rape, wheat and barley markets and the implications of activity in those areas for growers.

Jim Carswell, national trials manager for Frontier says: "It's important to take a strategic, balanced approach when making crop production decisions. Frontier's trials are well established and we now have a wealth of data going back over a number of seasons. This allows us to compare results, season on season and to identify trends. In this way we arrive at the most likely strategy for success - whatever the season conditions bring.

"We're fortunate to be joined by the Frontier trading team who will provide complementary expert market opinion on each crop. Frontier is uniquely placed in our industry; having expertise both in the areas of trials and technical research and grain marketing. We're here to help growers get both agronomic and marketing decisions right - which is why we take this dual approach to these events."

Frontier will also be providing a printed summary of this year's trials results to growers who attend these events.
