In my role, I often get asked which events we'll be attending and where customers can catch up with us over the coming months. Our local SOYL colleagues regularly attend and host events up and down the country, sharing expertise and helping customers to make the most of every hectare. Events are a key element of our agricultural calendar and something we always look forward to, whether the forecast be sunshine or rain, or the event indoor or outdoor. In fact, never has a truer word been spoken when you take into account the severe winds we battled at LAMMA'18!
As well as the day-to-day contact with your area manager, visiting SOYL at a local event is a great opportunity to keep in touch and be one of the first to hear about our latest developments. When we're exhibiting, we update visitors on the latest news and technical advances in precision crop production, as well as unveil new and exciting product launches.
For potential new customers, speaking to members of our team in person is a nice way to get a feel for the local support in the area and, with so many services available at SOYL, this can very helpful if you are unsure where to start with precision farming. A quick introduction and conversation from one of our advisors can really help to give you a feel for how we can assist you on farm, as well as help you get a better idea of the technology that could work best for your business.
If you're already a SOYL customer, the chance to catch up with your local advisors at an event is a great way to hear about any updates to current services and get an idea of where your precision farming journey could take you next.
As well as exhibiting at shows in the United Kingdom, SOYL have also been involved in many international shows due to having operations in Sweden, France, Hungary and other locations.
This year, our local teams have been heavily involved in Frontier Agriculture's 3D Thinking open days. These are a fantastic opportunity to see SOYL's services live in the field, with on-site demonstrations of MySOYL, iSOYL and iSOYLscout. In addition, our advisors also highlight the benefits associated with biomass and satellite imagery, variable rate seed and variable rate nitrogen.
This week sees us exhibit at the last of the Frontier Agriculture open days and we've been at Groundswell, the industry's leading 'Conservation Agriculture' event. We've attended Groundswell since it first began in 2015, with the event essential for those looking to build their knowledge of soil health and adopt revolutionary business strategies on farm.
Further along in the calendar, you can find members of our team at the following shows and events:
From November and into 2020, we'll also be holding our winter workshops at various locations across the country. Stay tuned for more updates about these and where they will be taking place.
